The Local’s story began on a steam train to nowhere, when Brittany and Tommy found themselves daydreaming about the things they love most: food, culture, and community. Across the UK, incredible makers—craft brewers, chocolatiers, cheesemongers, and artisans—pour their hearts into their craft, yet their work is too often enjoyed only close to home. We set out to change that.
As a husband-and-wife team, we created The Local to connect people with authentic regional culture. Every gift box we curate brings together the very best food, drink, and lifestyle products, carefully chosen for their quality, story, and sense of place.
