Summerdown are one of the only producers in Britain to grow Black Mitcham peppermint, a heritage variety they revived from near-extinction. It’s harvested, distilled, and aged for two years on their estate to develop its mellow, rounded flavour — fresh but never harsh.

Those essential oils are then blended into a luxuriously creamy fondant and enrobed in crisp dark chocolate to create a truffle that’s bright, elegant, and deeply satisfying. Think after-dinner mint, but elevated — refined, balanced, and unmistakably British.

Biscuits & Customer service excellent

These biscuits were delicious and packaged beautifully. Customer service was also excellent, I had a slight problem with delivery dates but Brittany sorted it immediately and made sure we had our biscuits on time for Burns Night. Would definitely recommend, thank again!

Give a gift they'll actually want

Excellent gifting service - highly recommend. For people who are looking for a high quality, curated hamper rather than something full of mass-produced chutneys that will gather dust at the back of your cupboard. The handwritten note adds to the personal touch, and the free delivery was very efficient. Don't give your money to The Man, support The Local!

An Amazing Gift

We were given a hamper from The Local as a present after having a baby and I can honestly tell you it was the best thing.

The produce from their hamper was incredible. Very high quality produce, delivered on time and packaged beautifully. This was a perfect gift from one of our business partners. We especially enjoyed the local sparkling wine and my wife is in love with the quality of the coffee. If I could give 6 stars, I would! Will be contacting The Local in the new year for some gift ideas for our suppliers.
