This is chutney the old-fashioned way — cooked gently in small batches, using simple ingredients and a good measure of real ale for depth. From Dorset With Love blends slow-cooked onions, apples, dried fruit, vinegar, and warm spices with a locally brewed ale, creating a chutney that’s rich, rounded, and beautifully balanced.

From Dorset With Love is a true family-run gem. Founded by Chrissy and her family in the rolling Dorset countryside, the business began with a simple idea: make preserves the way they’re meant to be made — by hand, in small batches, using real ingredients grown close to home.
What started at a farmhouse kitchen table has grown into an award-winning range of jams, chutneys, marmalades, relishes, and pickles. Every jar is still cooked the traditional way, stirred lovingly by hand and made using fruit from local growers, seasonal glut, and wild hedgerows.
Their ethos is simple: local ingredients, old-school methods, modern flavour.
It’s preserving as it used to be — and as it still should be.
