In 2018, a tortilla machine named Maria arrived in Bristol. Hecho en México — Made in Mexico — she became the beating heart of Masa Tortillas, pressing out authentic corn tortillas for their own tacos and soon for restaurants, shops, and street food traders across the UK.
By 2024, demand had outgrown Maria’s capacity, so Esteban joined the family — another beautiful machine from Mexico that tripled production and helped more people get their hands on truly fresh tortillas.
What began as a small Bristol project is now a full-fledged tortillería, on a mission to bring the flavours, rituals, and soul of Mexico and Central America to British homes. One bite of their tortillas — with that deep corn aroma and subtle chew — transports you straight to a Mexican market.
Masa Tortillas stands for authenticity, sustainability, and connection.
It’s slow, it’s careful, and it’s completely worth it.
They’ve even started crafting their own hot sauces, fiery and flavour-packed, to complete the experience.
