Herefordshire is shaped by the Wye and Lugg, orchard country, wooded valleys and market towns close to the Welsh border. Its making culture is inseparable from a landscape of farms, food producers and small workshops, but The Local will not reduce the county to cider or rural nostalgia. This starter edit begins near Leominster with Willie’s Cacao, whose recently relocated factory brings a very different raw material and production story into the county.
